Data Methodology & Sources
EverythingStablecoin publishes real-time financial data across 60 countries. This page explains exactly how we collect, verify, and update that data — so you can decide for yourself whether to trust it.
How Do We Collect P2P Price Data?
Our P2P premium data covers 60 countries across Binance P2P and OKX P2P. We collect this data using automated crawlers that query both platforms' public APIs every 10 minutes, 24/7.
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Exchanges covered | Binance P2P, OKX P2P |
| Countries tracked | 60 (20 emerging + 20 developing + 20 developed) |
| Update frequency | Every 10 minutes |
| Data source | Public P2P listing APIs (best available offer) |
| Premium calculation | (P2P price / official exchange rate - 1) × 100 |
| Official rates source | European Central Bank daily reference rates |
| History retained | 7 days rolling |
Limitation: P2P prices represent the best available offer at query time. Actual trade prices may differ based on payment method, trade amount, and seller reputation. We show the lowest-premium offer, not the weighted average.
How Do We Track Gas Fees?
Gas fees are fetched directly from blockchain RPC endpoints — the same infrastructure that wallets and dApps use. No third-party aggregators.
| Chain | Method |
|---|---|
| Ethereum | eth_gasPrice + ERC20 transfer estimate (65,000 gas) |
| Polygon, BSC, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, Avalanche | eth_gasPrice via public RPC |
| Solana | getRecentPrioritizationFees + 5,000 compute units |
| Tron | Fixed bandwidth/energy model (13 TRX estimate) |
Limitation: Gas fees fluctuate by the second. Our displayed fees are snapshots, not guarantees. Actual transaction costs depend on network congestion at the time of your transaction.
Where Do DeFi Yield Numbers Come From?
All DeFi yield data comes from DefiLlama, the industry-standard open-source DeFi analytics platform. We filter for USDT and USDC pools only, excluding volatile asset pairs.
- Source: DefiLlama Yields API (defillama.com/yields)
- Protocols: Aave, Compound, MakerDAO/Sky, Venus, Stargate, Morpho, and others
- Filter: Stablecoin pools only (USDT, USDC, DAI)
- Update: Hourly via ISR (Incremental Static Regeneration)
- Displayed: Base APY only — we exclude reward token emissions
Limitation: Yield rates are variable and change daily. Past APY does not guarantee future returns. We show current rates, not historical averages. Smart contract risk is not reflected in APY numbers.
How Are Country Cost Pages Built?
Each of our 60 country cost pages combines three data sources:
- P2P premium — Live data from our crawlers (see above)
- Trading fees — Manually verified from official exchange fee schedules. Last verified dates are shown per country.
- Network gas fees — Real-time from blockchain RPCs
Local payment methods, regulatory notes, and tax information are researched from official government sources (central bank websites, tax authority publications, regulatory announcements) and updated when regulations change.
How Do We Research Articles?
Every article follows a three-step verification process:
- Primary source verification — Official documentation, on-chain data, regulatory filings, court records, and company announcements. We do not cite other crypto blogs as primary sources.
- Real-world testing — When reviewing a platform, we use it with real funds. Cost calculations are based on actual transactions, not marketing claims.
- Cross-referencing — Every factual claim is verified against at least two independent sources. Statistics include their original source and date.
For our full editorial standards, see our Editorial Policy.
What Happens When We Get Something Wrong?
We fix it immediately and transparently. If a factual error is found in any article or data page:
- The error is corrected within 24 hours
- The "Last updated" date is changed to reflect the correction
- For significant errors, we add a correction note to the article
